As per FAI Rules, Section C.19, up to 5 substitutes may be used in all relevant matches. With effect from August 2017, the UCFL agreed that it would allow 5 substitutes in all its internal competitions, i.e. League, Cup and Shield matches.
The Leinster Football Association has advised that 5 substitutes may be used in the LFA Junior Cup and LFA Junior Shield matches for the current season (2018/19).
